5 reasons children are important at Harmony Grove United Methodist:

5. God calls children at young ages to do great things i. e. Samuel & David
4. God became a child in Jesus. From what we know God in Jesus grew up as a normal Jewish boy a little over two thousand years ago.
3. Jesus loved children.
2. Growing children helps us grow. Parents, teachers, and children’s workers learn from children and learn about themselves in the process. Our growth as adults has much to do with how we nurture the next generation.
1. Children are ‘our present.’ The church used to say, ‘children are our future.’ (In jest we say, ‘Be nice to your children, they will pick out your nursing home.’) If we live as if children are ‘our present’ who knows what mighty things God will do here and now? A child’s sack lunch once fed 5,000 people with lots of leftovers!
